Fish and Wildlife Graduate Student Association - BioBlitz Event

The Fish and Wildlife Graduate Student Association is hosting a virtual BioBlitz competition from March 17th to April 26th using the iNaturalist app. The cost to register is $10 per person and there are prizes for winning teams.

The Fish and Wildlife Graduate Student Association (FiWGSA) at Virginia Tech's CNRE is hosting a virtual BioBlitz competition for people to get out into nature and identify a bunch of different critters!

Registration Fee - $10 per person 

(paid by team captain over Venmo or other means coordinated with the project coordinators) - more information will be emailed to participants once registration is processed
  • BioBlitz will be running from March 17th to April 26th

  • You can participate from anywhere (you do not need to be in Virginia)

BioBlitz Team Prizes - Teams with the most overall unique observations
1st place - $100
2nd place - $50
3rd place - $25

BioBlitz Taxa Prizes - Teams with the most unique species of these six taxa groups win custom taxa stickers!
