Description
Virginia Tech's Fall break is Friday, October 7th Therefore we are offering a Friday/Saturday overnight trail working trip , with a ridgeline campsite with dark night skies. Friday - leave Blacksburg and get up to site, a few miles of hiking involved, but we should be able to shuttle most of the camping gear and tools up in a vehicle. 1/2 day of trail work. Saturday - a full day of trail work along the Peter's Mountain ridgeline with pick-ups at extraction trailheads (one-way trail work, no need to double back). The primary work will be cutting back the overgrown vegetation that has taken over the trail in this stretch of the AT.
