Description
The Thru-hikers are here! Let's make sure the trail is nice for them. We are going to hike and clear the stretch between Clendenin Rd and Rice Fields. Its a 2.5 up (swtichback, not steep) and 2.5 down the way we came. Lunch at shelter. Masters student from Virginia Tech will be joining us to share her research on communication on the trail. Work assignments can be tailored to an individual's ability.
What You Should Bring
Participants should bring water (at least 2L), snacks and lunch. Participants should wear long sleeve shirt and pants for trailwork and close toed shoes, preferably boots. We will provide PPE, tools, and training. More details on meeting up upon registration.
