Description

ITINERARY Day 1 - Friday: Meet at 1PM Drive to the trailhead at Moomaw, arrive by 3:30 Hike to the Greenwood Point Campground, arrive by 5:00 Set up camp and CHILL | Day 2 - Saturday: Open-ended, we will pass through a main area of the lake at some point where we can fill up on water, and use actual bathrooms| Day 3 - Sunday: Head out leisurely, probably around 12:00. Expect to be back to VT around 4PM | ACTIVITIES: Hiking, Camping, Fishing (I'm bringing some gear), and if you dare... Swimming | CAMPSITE INFO The campsite will have fire pits, cooking grates, leveled platforms for setting up a tent, and thats pretty much it. There is also a small storgage bin with miscellaneous camping stuff like a FEW chairs, and plastic soup spoons for some reason | MAIN AREA We will be parking car(s) at a more central area of the lake with restrooms and water before hiking to the campsite. At some point on Saturday, I expect that we will revisit this area to use the amenities, retrieve stuff from the car, or even drive around to see other parts of the lake. This will be up to us... but in case of emergency, cars and restrooms are an hour's hike away

What You Should Bring

At this point you should have a good idea of what to bring, but here are some recommendations: - Large Hiking Backpack - 2L of water - Tent - Warm Clothing - Semi-non-perishable food for 2 days ( it will be cool so things like bread or cured meats will be fine) - Cold weather sleeping bag
