Description
Virginia’s Blue Ridge offers a mix of natural beauty, captivating views, historic small towns and unique sites. We will see all of the above! After crossing the James on Virginia’s only swinging footbridge and stopping at some notable overlooks on the Parkway, our hike will be 4 miles out and back on a partially steep but paved mountain road (now for hikers only) to Roanoke’s highest peak. Come see more of what our region has to offer on this scenic road trip. We’ll be driving about 3 hours total, please consider bringing some money to help our drivers with their gas. Thanks!
What You Should Bring
This will be an all-day trip, please bring water, snacks, and you're welcome to pack a lunch as well. We can also stop for food/restroom before and after the Parkway, this will be a comfortably paced trip.
