Description
This is a two-day trip; the first day (Friday) will be our travel day, and we will spend the night at the Sherando Lake Recreation Area (camping). The second day (Saturday), we will attend the safety briefing in the morning at the same location before going out to work. After work concludes, we will drive back the same day; we will not be spending a second night at Sherando. The drive is just over 2 hours, but the camping will be free. No camping equipment or food will be provided, so if you don't have any and would still like to attend, we have a few we can lend out, but not many, so you may want to rent some form venture out. All equipment needed for the trail work will be provided (helmets, gloves, safety glasses, tools). No trail work experience is required.
What You Should Bring
Bring water, Food (for both days), camping equipment (sleeping bag, tent/hammock, etc.), a good set of shoes/boots, and appropriate clothing.
