Description
Meet at Squires lot at 2 and then get to Dragon's Tooth Trailhead by 3 pm. I will give an overview in the parking lot before we start. We will hike 4.5 miles total and it should take us around 3 hrs. We may be returning in the dark, so headlamps or flashlights should be brought along. This hike is moderately difficult and has a few rock scrambles. Definitely harder than Cascades but still beginner friendly.
Location
Dragon's Tooth Trail is a long the Appalachian Trail and just north of Blacksburg.
Driving Directions
The parking lot for Dragon's Tooth Trailhead can easily be found in the map apps and is ~40 mins from Blacksburg.
What You Should Bring
Wear closed-toed sneakers that you feel comfortable walking in. Bring enough water (1L or more). I highly recommend trekking poles since they make walking easier and this trail is quite rocky. You should also bring a headlamp since we may be returning in the dark. NO JEANS, NO OPEN TOED SHOES, NO SPEAKERS.
Pet Instructions/Info
Pets must be leashed.
