Description

Cost Cost is 125 tip for raft guide not included, expect to leave between a 10 and 30 dollar tip on top of that. Description Highlights 5 Class 5 Rapids​ Over 60 Named Rapids​ Long Day Trip (Expect 5am- 8pm)​ Unusually Warm Water​ Includes Cliff Jumping​ One Chance to Bull Ride per boat​ Lunch Included​ Approx 2 Hr. Drive​ Danger/Liability Warning This is a Class V rafting trip. It involves extremely challenging rapids with significant rocks and obstacles. There is a moderate risk of injury or drowning. Participants should be highly skilled whitewater rafters. Life jackets must be worn at all times. Avoid swimming or standing in the river unless instructed by your guide. Follow all guide instructions closely. This trip is not recommended for anyone without significant whitewater rafting experience. Cancelation Policy If you cancel your trip within 1 week of the departure date, no refund will be issued, and your spot will be given to the first waitlisted participant willing to sign on for free. There will be no option to swap your spot with another participant. If another participant is not available to swap in you will be required to pay the club back whatever cost they covered for the trip (On the past trip to the gauley the club paid 80$ per participant). If you cancel your trip between 1 week and 1 month before the departure date, you may be able to find a replacement participant to take your spot (swap out), however no refund will be issued until a swap is confirmed. If you cancel your trip more than 1 month before the departure date, you may be eligible for a partial refund depending on the policies of the company we booked the trip through. Full Description Drop over 335 feet in less than 12 miles as you charge through the Upper Gauley’s legendary “Big Five” Class V rapids—Pillow Rock, Lost Paddle, and more. Surrounded by vibrant fall foliage, this high-octane ride delivers nonstop adrenaline and unforgettable views. Refuel with a riverside lunch, then tackle more Class IV rapids before heading back to Adventures on the Gorge, grinning from the ride of a lifetime. You did it—you conquered the Upper Gauley!


Location

Trip will start at a meetup spot determined by attendees prior to the weekend of the trip. Trip will take place in Summersville West Virginia


Driving Directions

Meet up then map to Adventures on The Gorge in Fayetteville WV, Possible stop to Tudors Biscuit World for breakfast.


What You Should Bring

Bring closed toed water shoes or strap on sandals (ex. chacos) Bring a wetsuit if needed (may also be available for rent on-site for a fee)
