Description
Come enjoy the fall foliage that Mount Rogers (The tallest mountain in Virginia) has to offer before it gets too cold and snowy! We will do this route from Grayson Highlands State Park for the best views and hopefully see some wild ponies along the way. The specific trail that we will be taking is 10.6 miles long with 1,800 feet of elevation gain, so it is going to be a long and tiring hike, but the experience will be worth it! :)
Location
Grayson Highlands State Park near Troutdale, Virginia.
Driving Directions
Refer to Mount Rogers via Appalachian Trail in AllTrails.
What You Should Bring
Bring at least 3L of water, snacks/food, and hiking boots as the top of the mountain is very rocky! We can stop by somewhere along the way if you do not want to bring so much food.
