Description
Meet at Squires lot at 9 am and then get to Pinnacle of Dan Trailhead by around 11 am. I will give an overview in the gravel lot before we start. We will hike 2 miles total with about 1000' of gain and it should take us around 2 hrs. This hike is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT and should only to be attempted by experienced and adventurous hikers. Way harder than Cascades and almost every hike in the state.

The Pinnacle of Dan is a peak within the Dan River Gorge near Danville, VA.
Driving Directions
The trail starts at Pinnacles Hydro-Plant and is about 2 hrs away from Blacksburg.
What You Should Bring
Wear closed-toed sneakers that you feel comfortable walking in. Bring enough water (.5L). Trekking poles are highly recommended since they make walking easier. I recommend wearing breathable clothing. Be ready to climb and scramble a lot. NO OPEN TOED SHOES, NO SPEAKERS.
