Description
We will take the fire road from the trailhead to where the AT crosses it, approximately 2.5 miles in, then take the AT the rest of the way to the top and down to Campbell shelter, where we will spend the night.

What You Should Bring
In addition to all the regular backpacking and hiking stuff, like food and water. Make sure you have enough warm clothes and protective layers to keep you dry and warm. Please also make sure the rating on your sleeping bag and pad/underquilt is appropriate for the conditions. It looks like it will be getting down towards freezing at night with some wintry mix and sleet expected most of Sunday. Additionally, the trail is still covered in snow and ice, so it is in your best interest to bring microspikes or crampons to stay safe.
