Description

We will meet in the Hillcrest Lot on Sunday morning at 9am. Then we will pack into as few cars as we can due to limited parking space. I will have trash grabbers, bags, safety vests, and gloves. I will also be putting up "clean-up crew working" signs that VDOT will provide. Picking up trash might not seem like the most exciting thing, but I have found some very...interesting things. One disclaimer is that it is on a busy road with little to no shoulder, so we do walk in the ditch and stay as far away as we can from the cars. Hopefully with it being a Sunday, most people will be home.

Location

State Route 750 off of Route 8 (Webbs Mill Road)

Driving Directions

I will have people follow me, but we will get onto 460 East, then I-81 South, and will then take the Floyd/Christiansburg exit and take a left at the light.

What You Should Bring

Bring a bag that won't fall off if you are leaning over to pick up trash so you can store water and whatever else. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty (think trail work clothes) and shoes that you don't care about too (work boots are great, or those gross party shoes). Sunscreen is a good option as well.
