Description
Backpackers are passing through our area as they hike the ~2,200 miles from Georgia to Maine. We will travel on restricted US Forest Service roads to access the VA/WVA border on the ridge line of Peter's Mountain. We will clear encroaching vegetation with motorized brushcutters, handsaws and loppers. A campsite privy will be serviced as needed. No experience is necessary as training, PPE and tools are provided. A carpool location will be decided after registrations are completed.
What You Should Bring
Wear long pants and sturdy footwear. Bring lunch, two liters of water, sunscreen, bug spray and have a light weigh long-sleeved shirt available.
